Microsoft began testing Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud) on Xbox consoles today. Selected Xbox insiders will begin testing xCloud on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles. With this feature, games can be played on Xbox consoles without the need to download games. Microsoft is preparing to offer cloud gaming to console users with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions this holiday season.

Thanks to this integration, users will have the chance to try the games without having to download them completely. In this integration, more than 100 Xbox games will be offered to players first. Gamers with an Xbox Game Pass subscription will be able to access games with one click. Even players will be able to invite their friends to multi-player games. Starting today, Xbox Insiders with Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead rings will be able to try xCloud on their game consoles. The ability of players to use the Xbox Game Cloud feature will allow them to play games over the cloud without using storage on their consoles.

Microsoft wants to make Xbox games playable on almost any device. Bringing cloud gaming to consoles is another step the company has taken for this purpose. The company announced earlier this year that they want the Xbox One console to stay in use longer by bringing the cloud gaming feature to consoles. In this way, you will be able to play games released specifically for Xbox Series X/S on your Xbox One console. For example, you will be able to play Series X/S exclusive games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator and The Medium with your Xbox One.

Microsoft has not yet announced an exact date for the full version of this integration. Some features may take a few weeks to test, while others may take several months. How long the testing phase of Xbox Cloud Gaming will last has not been announced by the company. Along with all this, Microsoft plans to expand the Xbox ecosystem. The company’s plans include the ability to play Xbox games on Smart TVs and streaming sticks. You can find more detailed information about Xbox Cloud Gaming here.
