The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will get a free DLC package inspired by the TV series and a next-gen update on Xbox Series X|S.

The online event WitcherCon made the fans quite happy as it revealed that a free DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was on its way. The upcoming free downloadable content package will offer new items inspired by the series made by Netflix. The free DLC will be available for everyone who owns the game on any platform. If you liked the TV series starring Henry Cavill, you will probably get to wear the black armor of Geralt of Rivia with some other inspired items.

Fans of the video game series also learned that the second season of the TV series would be available to stream this year. So it is a great time to be a fan of The Witcher as there is also a next-gen update on the way. The update will be free for players who have the game on Xbox Series X|S and PS5. On the other hand, The Witcher 3 free DLC will not be exclusive to next-gen consoles, of course.

About The Witcher

Created by CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best open-world titles we have seen for a long time. The game did not only offer solid gameplay mechanics, but it also came with an amazing story to tell. Although it was not a complete RPG, the roleplaying elements, immersive decision-making and great story made the title a must-play game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt already has two brilliantly designed expansion packs called Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Now, with another DLC on the way, we will probably get to use the armor we have seen on the show along with other items. WitcherCon did not announce any exact release dates during the event but we know that the upcoming content will be available sometime this year.
