Enjoy these disappearing Strikes

Strikes are 15-20 minute endeavours that are great for killing enemies and grinding loot. Sadly, with Bungie vaulting entire destinations, some of the locations these Strikes take place in are vanishing.

Here’s what’ll be gone by the time Nov. 10 comes around. If you want to experience all Destiny 2 has to offer, you really need to play these strikes.

  • Savathun’s Song (Titan)
  • Will of the Thousands (Mars)
  • Strange Terrain (Mars)
  • The Pyramidian (Io)
  • The Festering Core (Io)
  • Tree of Probabilities (Mercury)
  • A Garden World (Mercury)

Out of this list, I’d say two of my favorites are definitely Savathun’s Song and The Pyramidian.

Savathun’s Song takes you into the depths of the Arcology on Titan to battle against a giant shrieker loyal to Savathun. There are two diverging paths, so the route you go in one playthrough may not be the same the next. Savathun, by the way, is a name you’ve likely heard a bit already. You’re going to hear a lot more about her in the future, as she could end up being the final boss in Destiny‘s trilogy of expansions.

The Pyramidian, meanwhile, tasks you with invading an enormous (and frankly awesome) Vex structure to eliminate a threat known as Brakion. This one has a lot of interesting obstacles to traverse, as well as some great banter on comms between Warlock Vanguard Ikora Rey and Io vendor Asher Mir.

Go on some Adventures

Adventures were almost like side quests of sorts when Destiny 2 first launched. The map was littered with these little one-off missions, but things changed, unfortunately. Adventures are a lot less common nowadays, which makes the loss of the ones that came in Destiny 2‘s first year all the more heartbreaking.

Here’s what you should check out before they go away on Nov. 10:

  • Thief of Thieves (Titan)
  • Siren Song (Titan)
  • Bad Neighbors (Titan)
  • Deathless (Titan)
  • Hephaestus (Mars)
  • Incursion (Mars)
  • Deathly Tremors (Mars)
  • Psionic Potential (Mars)
  • Arecibo (Io)
  • Postmodern Prometheus (Io)
  • Unexpected Guests (Io)
  • Cliffhanger (Io)
  • Road Rage (Io)
  • Endless Branches (Mercury)
  • The Up and Up (Mercury)
  • The Runner (Mercury)
  • Vex Milk (Mercury)

Which is the best? In my humble opinion, Adventures don’t get any cooler than Arecibo on Io. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but I’ll say this: it launched with Destiny 2 in September 2017 and served as a big hint the game would be going to Mars, which it did in the Spring of 2018.
