Forerunner title

The Forerunner Title and seal in Destiny 2 is unique to Season of Arrivals, the current season. The bad news is, Season of Arrivals wraps up on Nov. 10, which is in about one week. The good news is, you may still be able to complete the requirements to claim Forerunner.

Here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll need to do. Unfortunately, for some of them — especially if you haven’t been completing certain activities or purchasing certain items — time may not be on your side. Glance over the list, though, and then check out your account. Who knows: mayeb you can nab this title yet.

Upgrade Gift Ranks on the Prismatic Recaster

It seems there are two ways you can do this. One way is to complete the Recaster’s two weekly bounties, which award you with Twisted Energy and, together, add up to one rank. The other is to decrypt the season’s Umbral Engrams. The latter goes a lot more slowly. Good thing Season of Arrivals practically buries you in Umbral Engrams. Decrypt as many as you can.

Buy all the mods from the Prismatic Recaster

The Recaster sells a dozen seasonal mods in total. Some are available all the time. Others rotate in and out depending on what day it is. Make sure you are visiting the Recaster every day to buy every mod that’s available. If you start today (Monday, Nov. 2), you should be able to nab the eight rotating mods, one per day.

Focus different types of Umbral Engrams

There are five different Triumphs tied to this idea, but I’m going to simplify it as best I can: you’re basically going to have to focus every single type of Umbral Engram there is. Do them all until the Triumphs pop.

Complete the Contact event on both Io and Titan

This one you’re going to have to move on, and by that, I mean you will need to do this today if you somehow haven’t yet. At this very moment, the Contact event is taking place on Io. Come reset on Tuesday, Nov. 3, it’ll likely have moved to Titan. The good: you can knock this part out in consecutive days. Bad news: if you miss Contact on Io today, you are pretty much not getting this Title.

Defeat all three Contact bosses

This is one you’ll have to have accomplished at least a little bit of. You have the rest of today to nail one boss down, and then a week starting tomorrow to take care of another. You’re going to have to hope that, somewhere along the way, you managed to take out the third.

Complete all three Interference mission variations

The weekly “Interference” mission used ti rotate between three different areas depending on the week. Unfortunately, if you haven’t completed these, they may be out of reach for you. There is another mission starring Nokris that is reportedly sticking around until the end of the season. Cross your fingers that you hit those other mission variations before Nokris showed up.

Defeat Savathun’s mysterious Supplicant

This is the aforementioned Nokris mission. You can do this. Complete the required Contact event quest, head into the “Interference” mission, and send Nokris packing for the however-manyeth time.

Collect all of the Calcified Light Fragments

You might have already collected these as part of the Ruinous Effigy questline. Regardless, if you haven’t found all of these yet, head to Braytech.org, pull up the Maps section, and look on Io, Titan, Mercury, and Mars for where the Calcified Fragments are marked.

Shoot all of Savathun’s Eyes with Ruinous Effigy

This one is quite the chore, and it’s going to require you to go to some places you might have otherwise avoided. Again, Braytech.org is going to be your friend here in terms of actually tracking down the Eyes. If you haven’t already, though, you’re going to need to take a run through the Prophecy dungeon. That activity holds a few Eyes, and a couple of them are not easy to get. Good luck.

Complete the Exotic quest “Exodus: Preparation”

This is easy enough and can be completed in one sitting. Visit Zavala, start the quest, do the chores it asks of you on various planets in the system, then turn it in. Earlier in the season, this quest ended and players didn’t have anything else to do for a bit. If you’re doing this now, though, you’ll immediately pick up the next quest after completing this one.

Complete the Exotic quest “Exodus: Evacuation”

Nothing tricky about this one, either. You’re going to be doing more planetary chores — clearing Lost Sectors, running Strikes, etc. At the end, though, you’ll actually get something for your effort: the Traveler’s Chosen Exotic sidearm.

That’s everything you’ll need to do for the Forerunner Title explained. As I mentioned earlier, time may not be on your side with some of these. A few requirements may be impossible if you are starting completely fresh. If you poked around during the season and did get some things done, though, it’s worth checking to see if maybe you can pull this off.
