The Sea of Thieves, which was released on Xbox One and PC in March 2018, is a sandbox multiplayer pirate adventure game. And things are about to get spicier as Captain Jack Sparrow joins in on the action as part of the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase announcement.
Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life
The latest FREE expansion, titled “Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life” will bring a refreshingly new and original storyline to fans. Captain Jack Sparrow, the famous pirate portrayed by Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean films. However, it is unclear if the original voice actors for both characters will be reprising their roles for this game.
This news was recently announced during the Xbox E3 2021 showcase. Microsoft announced the free Pirates-themed expansion for the game that will release on June 22nd.
“Unfolding across five incredible tales packed with secrets and side-quests, this new campaign gives players a lovingly crafted story to play solo or with their crew,” — Microsoft
Synopsis of the Expansion
In this new expansion, you will be working to free Captain Jack Sparrow from his prison and avoid the dangerous pursuit from the famous Davy Jones (Also from Pirates of the Caribbean). During your quest, you will be able to explore different locations from both the Sea of Thieves and Pirates of the Caribbean settings.
