With Windows 11, PCs are now Xbox Series X powered. Now all PCs will turn into Xbox storage and can be used like Xbox Consoles.

Windows 11 is much more than a simple PC update. It is also a gaming platform. Thanks to Windows 11, PCs seem to surpass even consoles thanks to their amazing graphics and backward compatibility. Windows is one of the most preferred gaming operating systems for a long time. In addition, Windows 11 seems to not lose the top to anyone thanks to three major upgrades.

Sarah Bond, Microsoft‘s corporate vice president, announced on the official Xbox Wire blog what’s coming to the gaming world with Windows 11. From HDR color palettes to fast-loading SSDs and Xbox Game Pass compatibility, gaming on Windows 11 will be just like playing games on Xbox Series X, which is beyond awesome. We’re talking about the best in its field, Xbox Series X power. This is a very ambitious and cool development, don’t you think?

You’ll be able to play the best Xbox Series X games thanks to the Xbox Game Pass library that will come built-in with Windows 11. You will also have the chance to try the best PC games. In addition, thanks to the New Windows 11 application, you will be able to see if your current computer is compatible.

Xbox Game Pass for Pc, Auto HDR, and DirectStorage on Windows 11

As Bond writes on his blog, Windows 11 focuses on three key elements in the gaming world: Auto HDR, Direct Storage, and Xbox Game Pass for PC. Of course, these features have appeared before. However, this trio, which will come with Windows 11, will allow you to turn a PC into a cutting-edge Xbox console.

Games running on DirectX 11 or DirectX 12 automatically apply HDR color features, making the colors more beautiful. Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S already take advantage of this feature. In addition, the difference created by this feature is visibly evident. Colors look much more vivid and realistic in both realistic and stylized game genres. However, to get the most out of this feature, you need to have an HDR display. While HDR isn’t widely available on gaming monitors, it’s very popular with 4K TVs.

DirectStorage may be the most important enhancement that comes with Windows 11. This is mainly because it will directly affect the gaming experience by speeding up SSD loading. Thanks to this technology, it is part of the Xbox Velocity Architecture used by the Xbox Series X/S, and thanks to this feature, games will now load in seconds. Of course, performance may vary depending on internal SSD and drive speeds. Also, SSDs in PCs may not cause much change since they are already quite fast. However, according to Bond, DirectStorage will only be available on Windows 11. For this reason, it may force the upgrade.

With all these features, we can say with peace of mind that Windows 11 is the masterwork of Microsoft. After all, all Microsoft content (Windows, Microsoft, Xbox) is now much more integrated and much more advanced. It would not be wrong to say that much better developments await us, according to these developments, which opened the doors of a new era for Windows and Xbox. What do you guys think about this? What further developments would you like Microsoft, and therefore the Xbox side, to offer? Share with us in the comments!
