If you are a fan of post-apocalyptic warfare, today is the day for you to pick up your controller and jump back into the world of Rainbow Six Siege. This limited-time event will run today May 4th to Tuesday, May 18th. In this event, humanity is at a breaking point with its reliance on nuclear energy causing all kinds of problems. Earth is at a tipping point and it is up to you to regrow what is left of the damaged earth. This event is part of the update Y6S1.3 which includes a few changes to some operators. Jackal and Jager have been nerfed, Ace is able to break Mira windows while Tachanka and Thermite has been buffed.
What is the Rainbow Six Siege Apocalypse Event?
Players will be fighting in the Outback map, however, it is re-skinned and modified to make you feel like you are in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Rainbow Six Siege is the 13th installment of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six that was released on December 1st, 2020, and is inspired by terrorist/counter-terrorist events that happen across the world. The game can be played on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft Windows, PS4, or PS5.
A new game mode has launched today on May 4th, 2021 called Cannister which makes the Defenders, known as keepers, defend the final plant of life on earth from the attackers, known as Warband. As a defender, you are able to move the canister throughout the map as you defend until the time runs out. The Warband has one goal, to defuse the canister and doom planet Earth for good. If you are bored of playing Call of Duty: Warzone and want a change of pace, this event may be for you.
