In Immortals Fenyx Rising, Adamantine Shards are the currency used to upgrade weapons and armor. What you may not know, however, is how to get Adamantine Shards in the first place. Where are they? How many types are there? Below, we’re going to answer all of these questions.

To start, Adamantine Shards come in four varieties. All are used to upgrade certain tiers of equipment (or let you carry more of something, like Apollo’s Arrows or potions). All can be found in different places.

Yellow Adamantine Shards are used to upgrade Potion Pouch and Apollo’s Arrows carrying capacities, and can be found in chests and in Yellow Shard Clusters. These Clusters are like the one pictured above (but yellow, of course). Shard Clusters are just sitting around in the world, though you might have to do a bit of work to reach them.

Blue Adamantine Shards upgrade weapons, armor, and helmets. You can find these from defeating common enemies, by searching chests, and in Blue Shard Clusters.

Red Adamantine Shards are used to upgrade weapons and are harder to come by. These are found by taking down unique enemies, by searching guarded chests (chests with enemies guarding them), and in Red Shard Clusters.

Purple Adamantine Shards are also tougher to track down. These are found in epic chests (the kinds you need to solve puzzles for) and in Purple Shard Clusters.

As you can see above, opening an epic chest netted me a little bit of almost everything. I got some Yellow, Blue, and Purple Adamantine Shards. Not only that, I managed to snag a new piece of gear, too.

Your best bet for finding all of these types of shards is by completing the activities that correspond to them, and by searching hard-to-reach areas. If there’s a tall mountain or an island that’s tricky to get to, chances are you’ll find some Adamantine Shards there.

Once you’ve collected a bunch of them, return to the Hall of the Gods and visit the Forge of Hephaistos to start upgrading your gear.
