Crytek announces Crysis Remastered Trilogy for Fall 2021. The enhanced and remastered versions of the games will return this year.

The developer has announced the news on the game’s official Twitter account. We already knew that Crysis 2 Remastered was on the way, but the company announced that the whole trilogy is coming back at the end of 2021. Crytek also shared a teaser trailer for Crysis Remastered Trilogy.

Crysis Remastered came out a year ago with the cooperation of Saber Interactive. The game offered DLSS, enhanced visuals, high quality textures and small tweaks in gameplay. It also offered a specific texture preset called Can It Run Crysis.

Crysis games had already been groundbreaking titles when it comes to graphics and textures. Most gaming systems are still being tested with Crysis 3. Now the three games are going to launch for consoles and PC this year. We do not have an exact Crysis Remastered Trilogy release date yet, but the enhanced versions will land on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S this year.

The remastered FPS games will probably offer 8K textures, HDR support, motion blur and ray-tracing.

Is Crysis Warhead Included?

The company has not made any comments on Crysis Warhead though. But we are probably not going to see the stand-alone expansion in the remastered package. Crysis Remastered received negative reviews for not including Warhead when it first came out. The expansion allowed players to assume the role of Michael “Psycho” Sykes and offered 5 hours long gameplay.

The community is wondering whether these games really need to be remastered though. Even the graphics of the first Crysis game stood against the test of time successfully. Yet again, it might be great to visit Lingshan, Manhattan and New York again after all those years. Shooting C.E.L.L soldiers and CEPH aliens were really fun with the help of the Nanosuit 2.0.
