Halo Infinite may be coming to Xbox in summer 2021. 343 Industries confirmed their plans for gameplay at summer gaming events.
This gameplay will be the first for Halo Infinite since the demo from last summer. It started intense criticism so Microsoft and 343 decided to delay the game for an entire year.
According to 343, Halo Infinite is “the biggest and most ambitious Halo game ever created and set in a new Halo Ring twice the size of the last two Halo games combined”. In the end, it was discouraging to hear the delay but this statement keeps us waiting on our toes impatiently for this big gun to be released.
The Reason Behind the Delay
343 Industries debuted the first look at Halo Infinite last summer. Although it looked really neat to play, there were a big number of fans who were not impressed by the visuals. Other games could get out of this, but the new title was developed to make up for the big Halo 5 that will come in 5 years. In addition to this, Halo Infinite was supposed to be a technical showcase for the Xbox Series X.
Fans saw the footage of the game almost a year ago. 343 Industries seems to be almost ready to unleash the shiny polished version of Infinite.
Halo Infinite updates have been a blur since the start of 2021. 343 Industries has been releasing tons of screenshots, sound bites, and more. However, they kept staying absolutely neutral about the game’s development and fans waiting until it is ready to show.
Waiting for the Right Time
Even though they must have been planning some marketing management, these were also delayed with the game’s big debut. The fact that there wasn’t any gameplay or trailers at The Game Awards in December. We can make an assumption that the team is dedicated to revealing the game only when it’s absolutely ready.
Fogs of mystery are surely surrounding Halo Infinite at the time and it will probably be there for a while. Even though, there are some indications that it will be worth the waiting. 343 has teased the return of the flood in Halo Infinite. With that info, we can say that this game is purely made for fans and by what they wanted. Despite all, it will be joyful to see how did 343 improved Halo Infinite when it will be released this summer.
